In a growing controversy over donations from firms associated with disgraced former federal lobbyist Jack Abramoff, documents show Senate candidate Rep. Mark Udall, D-Eldorado Springs, took a $1,500 donation from two of his former clients.Face The State analyzes the donations, including their timing coincidental with a change in Udall’s votes on a contentious Internet gambling bill.
Throughout the Cory Voorhis case, radio talk show host Peter Boyles, who did a tremendous amount of good for Voorhis and for justice by championing Voorhis in the case, never missed a chance to attack Bob Beauprez, accusing him of abandoning Voorhis in his time of greatest need.

FORT COLLINS — With Dillard’s department store close to an agreement with Centerra in Loveland, Foothills Mall in Fort Collins would lose the linchpin of a proposed redevelopment that could lead to cancellation of the project, several informed sources told Business Report Daily this week.
Marilyn Musgrave and Mark Udall co authored a soapbox piece in the Coloradoan on congressional earmarks. While I applaud for both of them for taking a year off all earmarks is that really enough? In the current election cycle, which will expire during their moratorium, is not a stronger stance needed?
I was reading Ann Coulter’s column in Human Events this evening. I said to myself "self, sounds like she is on the right track."
OK, so everyone should be in agreement that in the current economy we (the general collective of officials, business people, and citizens) should be actively looking for new opportunities to create new tax revenue and jobs within our communities.
Here in Fort Collins and Larimer County we are seeing just below a 4% unemployment rate as of December 2007. So when a proposal is garnered that could produce the opportunity to bring in new business, should not this be something that the "non-partisan" council would embrace with open arms? I believe they should. Shame on you Poppaw, Manvel, Roy, and Ohlson.
